The Currency Chronicles

HENI Publishing is delighted to present Damien Hirst's The Currency: Chronicles Vol. 1, a curated collection of essays, artworks and personal anecdotes inspired by the first year of The Currency.

The volume features a foreword by Stephen Fry and over 150 'chronicles' created by members of the HENI Discord community. The book also includes a visual timeline showing the history of The Currency, as well as an infographic section with detailed information about many data points, including burns, trading, and the community itself.

The endpapers of the publication list the 2,000 most active members of The Currency community on the HENI Discord. The book is hardback with a matte laminate finish on the cover, featuring embossed varnished lettering taken from details of The Currency artworks.

The dimensions of the book are 320 x 226mm. The price is £24.99. The Currency Chronicles Volume 1 covers the first year of The Currency, up until the burning decision deadline.

We are now collecting stories for Volume 2. If you'd like to share your experience around the burn decision, the moments after, the final numbers, or simply a nice anecdote, we'd love to hear from you.

You can submit a chronicle via DM to our @The Currency Chronicles or reach out to a moderator. The book will officially be available from the 22nd September, to coincide with The Currency Exhibition at Newport Street Gallery. It will be possible to purchase the book in the Gallery Shop, and also on the HENI Publishing website.
