What is an NFT?

NFT stands for non-fungible token. It is a unit of data stored on a digital ledger, called a blockchain, that certifies a digital asset to be unique.

The NFT contains metadata such as the product information and high-resolution visual assets, which are all stored on IPFS. IPFS is a distributed system for storing and accessing files, websites, applications, and data.

The NFT also contains the token ID which is used as the input to the generative algorithm. The generative algorithm is stored on the blockchain itself. This means that the artwork can be reproduced even if the image were not hosted on IPFS.
