The Camouflage prints are set within an aluminium frame.
For information on how to hang the frames, please refer to our help article: How do I hang these frames? This resource includes detailed instructions and visual references.
If you wish to reframe the work, please note that the Invader Camouflage series works are mounted with modern self-adhesive acid-free and reversible mounting materials. The method is secure enough for HENI to ship these works all over the world but also completely reversible by a paper conservator or an experienced picture framer. Demounting should not be attempted by someone without the requisite experience and skillset.
The mounting process uses 40mm squares of archival paper with acid-free adhesive that are attached to the back of the artwork at regular intervals. Each of these squares has a 19mm piece of acid-free archival double-sided tape at its centre, which secures the artwork to the mount board. To remove the artwork, a professional would gently heat the edges where the tape is located, allowing the double-sided tape to release. Once the artwork is separated from the mount board, the remaining archival paper squares can be safely removed from the back of the print by applying a small amount of distilled water.
